We created The Mahj Squad to bring people together in a fun, welcoming and relaxed environment. Our events are about more than winning a hand. They're an opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with friends, learn something new, and enjoy a great night out.

Good to know

What should I bring?

Yourself. We supply the sets, racks, pushers and score cards. Your seat is paid when you reserve, and a snack to share if you're feeling generous.

Can I come if I've never played?

Absolutely — beginners are the reason we started. Book a Guided Session and you'll be paired with a guide from the first tile. Coming alone is completely normal; we'll seat you with a group.

Open Play or Guided?

Open Play. You know the basics and want a table. Casual, self-run, rotating partners.

Guided Session. Same night, same room — but a guide stays at your table all night explaining hands, the card and the etiquette.
